How long will the balloons stay afloat?

The balloons will stay afloat for a minimum of 12 hours. Some factors like the balloon size, air conditioning, rain, & heat will make the balloons last longer or only last the minimum.

What size are the balloons when they are fully inflated?

The balloons are inflated to a minimum of 30cm (12”).

Can I inflate 13cm(5”) balloons?

No you cannot inflate 13cm (5”) balloons as they are to heavy for the helium.

What is included in the balloons?

Each helium balloon includes one 30cm(12”), the helium to fill the balloon and a ribbon(approx 1m in length.

Do you deliver helium balloons?

Yes we do deliver balloon. Please see our Delivery Map as a guide to where we deliver.

Do I have to make a book for helium balloons?

We always recommend you make a book for pick-up or delivery as we can get very busy on the weekend and you may miss out on getting the balloons.

Do you do cash on delivery for balloon orders?

No we do not do cash on delivery of balloon orders. If you wish to make a order for balloons you can do so via our web-site and pay online.

Do you deliver on weekends?

The days we deliver balloons are Monday to Saturday. If you require balloons for a Sunday or public holiday we can add a substance called Hi-float which will make the balloons last two to three days longer. E.G. If you had the balloons inflated on Saturday they would last inflated and floating till Monday or Tuesday. If you are unsure about Hi-Float please contact via email or on 1300 772 789.

What is Hi-Float?

HI-FLOAT is an aqueous solution containing a special water soluble plastic. It dries inside the latex balloon to form a barrier coating which helps hold in helium. This coating greatly increases the floating life of the balloon. Please visit the official Hi-float web-site for more information.

Do you hire helium cylinder?

No we do not do hire helium cylinders. Our prices are very competive please view our Price list and feel free to print it out and take it with you when purchasing you balloons.

What type of balloons do you do?

We have a huge range of balloons from foil balloons to printed latex. There are to many to list in this FAQ.

Do you do shape decorations E.G. Arches, Canopies

At the moment we do not do shaped decorations.

Will you come out to the venue and decorate?

We do from time to time come out to venues to decorate the balloons but this will depend on the order most orders are done in house.

Do you do air-inflation?

Yes we do air-inflation and the price for air inflation is on our Price List.

Will balloons float with air?

Helium is lighter than air and just as the heaviest things will tend to fall to the bottom, the lightest things will rise to the top. Helium weighs 0.1785 grams per litre. Nitrogen, which makes up 80% of the air we breathe, weighs 1.2506 grams per litre.

Basically, if you were to fill a soda bottle with helium and another with air, the one filled with helium would weigh a gram less than the bottle with air. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but that’s usually why blimps and balloons are usually really big, the one-gram difference really adds up in large volumes. Helium balloons follow the same principle as you do when you float in the water; the law of buoyancy. If the water you displace weighs more than you do, you will float.
